How to remove MFA
from your mobile device
from your mobile device
If you change your mobile phone or tablet, you will need to remove MFA from your old mobile device and enable MFA on your new device.
Remove MFA from your mobile device

Go to IDS: ids.mau.se. Select 'I have problems logging in'

Select 'Reset MFA'

Log in with BankID or eduID

Copy the temporary access code

Log in to the Microsoft security site: mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
Log in with your datorid@mau.se (e.g. aa1234@mau.se) and your temporary access code. We recommend that you open the link in a private window or in incognito mode. -
On the Microsoft page, you will see Microsoft Authenticator and your mobile device. Click on 'Delete'.
Activate MFA on your mobile device
Once you have removed the MFA from your old mobile device, you can move on to the next step – activating the MFA on your new mobile device.
