As a student, you need to verify your identity. This allows you to log in to Ladok for students.

Applies to students with a Swedish personal identity number

Please note that only students with a Swedish personal identity number are required to verify their identity.

If you don't have a Swedish personal identity number, you can still log in to Ladok. You don't need to verify your identity.

Follow these steps to verify your identity:

You can verify your identity in the IDS system using BankID or eduID.

If you have just ordered your MauID, please wait an hour before verifying your identity.

1. Log into IDS

Log in with your MauID.

Login to IDS

2. Select 'Account Security'

You can verify your identity by going to 'Account Security'.

3. Verify your private email address and your mobile number

Before you can verify your identity, you must ensure that your personal email address and mobile number are registered. This is necessary in case you forget your password and need to recover your account.

4. Check your assurance level

If the assurance level for your computer identity is 'none' or 'AL1', you will need to verify your identity.

5. Verify your identity using BankID or eduID

If you have a Swedish personal number, verify your identity using BankID or eduID.

BankID for those with a Swedish personal identity number

Please note that you must have a Swedish personal identity number to identify yourself with BankID.

Select a method:

  • Select BankID if you have it on your current device.
  • If you have Mobile BankID on another device: Open the app and scan the QR code for identification.

EduID for those with a Swedish personal identity number

  • Log in with your eduID.

Temporary personal identity number

If you have a temporary personal identity number and have been issued a Swedish personal identity number by the Swedish Tax Agency, please notify us so that your details can be updated.

Please email ladok@mau.se. This will then be updated in Canvas and TimeEdit. You will then need to verify your identity.

If you have protected personal data

You do not need to verify your identity if you have protected personal data.

Registration and certificates

You can enrol on courses, view your results and download academic transcripts in Ladok.
