group rooms
Book a group room and check in. Cancel a booked room.
Book a group room
Most group rooms can only be reserved for four hours in total, and bookings are made a maximum of two days in advance. At the Orkanen library, however, group rooms can be reserved for two hours and up to a week in advance.
- Log in to TimeEdit using your MauID@mau.se.
- Select ‘Book group room’ or ‘Book a group room at Orkanen Library’.
The booking section can be opened from the bottom left of the home page.
- Scroll down to see all bookable rooms on campus. If you want to chose rooms from only one building, enter the building code in the ‘Room’ field – AS, KL, NI or OR.
- Click on the day you would like to make your booking. If you can’t see the right day, click on the date selection arrows at the top of the list.
- Make your selection by clicking on an available room and the desired time directly in the timetable. You can adjust the time in the pop-up box.
Click on the room you wish to book (1). In the pop-up window, check the date and adjust the time if necessary (2). Click the ‘Reserve’ button (3).
- Click on ‘Reserve’. You can choose to send an email reminder to yourself.
- If you want to change or cancel the booking, you will find it on the TimeEdit home page under My bookings.
Under ‘My Bookings’, you’ll see a list of your bookings, showing the time, room and whether you need to check in.
Check in
You must confirm your booking by checking in when it is time to use the room, otherwise it will be cancelled. You can check in from 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after your booking starts.
- In your booking list, you can see the date and time for which you have booked the room.
- The booking is listed as Student booking, Confirm, along with the time frame within which you can confirm the booking.
- When it’s time to confirm, simply click on ‘Check in: Confirm’.
Cancel a booking
If you no longer need the room you should cancel it and make it available for others. Click on the booking in the calendar. In the pop-up window, you can change the time or cancel the booking.
Click on the booking in the booking list if you wish to cancel it or change the time. In the pop-up window, click on ‘Change/Cancel’.
Equipment in reading rooms and group rooms
All rooms are equipped with HDMI cables. If you do not have a computer with an HDMI port, you will need an adapter.
Find your way around with Mazemap
If you are looking for a specific lecture hall or meeting room you can use Mazemap, an app that helps you to navigate the different University buildings. You can also find kitchenettes ("pentry"), quiet rooms and toilets.
Guidelines and regulations
There are codes of conduct which apply to both students and staff while on campus; these cover: the consumption of alcohol, food and drink; displaying posters; opening hours; recycling, and scooters. You should make yourself aware of these, and also what happens if the rules are broken.
