University Chaplaincy
– for students
The University Chaplaincy has a priest and a pastor, who are available for counselling for students. The conversations do not have to be about religion and faith. You can talk about anything from grief and life crises to relationship problems or existential questions.
What you can get help with
Studying can be challenging because of things that happen in life. A person's life is made up of relationships that are constantly in motion. Many times we need someone to talk to.
We have a lot of experience in talking to people, about anything related to life. For example, you can talk about grief, life crises, relationship problems or existential questions.
Book a meeting
A counselling session can be the first step towards changing your life situation. You can come once or for a longer period, depending on what you need.
We welcome students to the Student Centre at Neptuniplan 7, but you can also book an online appointment. We have a duty of confidentiality and no notes or records are kept.
You can book an appointment by emailing universitetskyrkan@mau.se.
Drop-in
- The university chaplains have drop-in on Thursdays at 11.30–12.30.
Location: Nereus, next to the reception on the ground floor.
Breakfast and respite
- Come to a joint breakfast on Tuesdays at 9–10, even weeks.
Location: Café Niagara, floor 2.
We have breakfast at cost price and talk about issues that affect our lives, such as hope, peace, community, faith and meaningfulness. We will decide on topics together.
Quiet rooms
Malmö University has three quiet rooms, where students are given the opportunity for contemplation and personal devotion. The rooms are located at the Orkanen Library, the Faculty of Odontology and the Faculty of Health and Society.
The rooms are open to everyone, regardless of religion or belief. The quiet rooms cannot be booked, but are used spontaneously and with respect for different religious orientations.
Have a coffee with us
Take a short break and come and have a chat with us. We offer coffee or tea every Thursday in Niagara, floor 2.
