The student unions offers support if you encounter any problems during your studies. They focus on issues relating to the University’s programmes and courses, and also organise social activities such as coffee with the Union, lectures and a party to kick off the autumn term. And if you have a special interest, there is probably a student group or association where you can meet students of the same inclination.

The Student Union Malmö is the largest student union at Malmö University. It is open for students from all faculties, except the Faculty of Odontology which has its own union. The Union is housed in the union building on Bassängkajen 8.

There is a wide variety of associations linked to the Student Union. The associations are led by students and are arranging activities related to culture, sports, politics, environment, international affairs, and much more.

For PhD students, there is a doctoral student union. The Union focuses on issues concerning PhD students' special conditions as a student at the doctoral level and as employees at the University.
