Sitting an on-campus written exam

Information and rules for on-campus written exams.

Arrive on time

The doors close at the starting time. The doors will open again 30 minutes after the starting time for latecomers. There is no compensation for lost time. After the late admission, doors will lock and you will not be able to enter the building. If you are sitting a digital exam you should arrive at the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the exam is due to start.

The invigilator will provide you with instructions and decide where each student is to be seated. Only paper provided by the invigilator is permitted.

To bring

You are responsible for bringing your own pen. For paper exams, the cover sheet must be completed using an ink pen. Your examiner decides which kind of pen is permitted for the rest of the exam.

Students are allowed to bring snacks and beverages to exams. Avoid bringing food that has a strong smell.

Storage and toilets

Bags and garments, as well as wristwatches, phones and other smart devices, must be stored in the lockers during the exam.

Lockers are available outside the exam halls at Kranen for personal belongings. You lock them with a four-digit code of your choosing. The same code is used to open and close the locker. The storage lockers are 40x40x40 cm. Note that all your belongings must fit in the locker.

There are toilets located inside the exam room. Before and after the exam, other toilets are available.

Be considerate

Out of consideration for those with allergies, avoid bringing nuts or wearing strong perfumes.

Cheating and disruptive behaviour

Students who disturb or obstruct an examination will be required to stop their own exam and leave the room. Anyone suspected of cheating will be reported to the Student Disciplinary Board.
