VIP CRéMe allows you to choose from more than 50 different projects and contribute to real research – a few hours per week is all it takes. Dare to test your skills in the real world!
Eligibility
All Malmö University students may apply to join a research team through the Sustainable Digitalisation Research Centre. Students admitted to a course or programme at the Faculty of Health and Society may also apply to a faculty team. To be eligible, however, you must have passed all credits in your studies so far, and have completed at least 60 credits. Each VIP project will detail prerequisites for getting involved, given its research agenda.
What you will learn
The programme fosters leadership and mentorship, with faculty and students guiding teams, experienced students mentoring newcomers, and students stepping into leadership roles as others graduate. You will gain insights about and valuable experience from current research at the University. You will learn collaboration skills, meet new people and grow on a personal level. Much of the knowledge and skills you practise as part of the VIP programme will be useful when writing your thesis.
VIP will be documented as a diploma supplement (CRéMe – credits for research merits) and registered in Ladok.
Spring 2026
All VIP students meet once a month during the spring semester. Sessions are held 16.15 – 19.00 and include a meal. More dates will be published soon.
- Meeting 1: VIP kick-off – Get to know each other and plan the programme startup (3 February)
- Meeting 2: Assignment 1 – Share research projects
- Meeting 3: Assignment 2 – Discuss the research process
- Meeting 4: Concluding reflections and celebration
Apply to take part in VIP
The VIP pages in Canvas list current projects. There you can read about the projects and submit the application form. There are VIPs available at all HS departments, except IPA, and all KS and TS departments, but you do not have to choose a project at your own department.
