Malmö University aligns with COP 2024
During the UN Climate Conference COP 2024, Malmö University will organise activities that align with the event’s themes, in collaboration with the University of Liège, one of our partner universities within the UNIC partnership. These activities are designed to complement the discussions and initiatives taking place at the conference. One of these activities is ‘The Week’.
About The Week
The Week is designed as a U-process. The first part, where we go down into the U, addresses the difficulties expected from climate change. The second part focuses on hope and future visions. The third part brings us up from the U with a sense of action, where each person reflects on how they can and want to contribute to a positive turn of events.
Practicalities
We will meet on three occasions to watch an episode of a three-part documentary on the climate crisis. The screening will be followed by a 30-minute guided conversation for deeper understanding and a sense of hope and empowerment.
The workshop is held in Swedish as well as English, the films are in English with Swedish subtitles. Each part is given on two occasions.
